Cardamom Chicken

 

Intro:

  1. A nice Indian chicken curry.

  2. (Serves 4)


Ingredients:

  1. 3 T olive oil

  2. 6 green cardamom pods

  3. 1 red onion

  4. Ginger Garlic Paste

  5. 1 1/2 chicken breast, cubed

  6. 1/2 t red chili powder Cups of Turkey or Chicken Broth

  7. 1/4 t turmeric powder

  8. 1/2 t Ground Nutmeg

  9. Hung Yougurt

  10. salt to taste



Directions:

  1. I.Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Add cardamom pods and onions and sauté until browned. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for about 1 min.

  2. II.Add chicken cubes and sauté until browned

  3. III. Mix in salt (to taste), red chili powder, and turmeric powder and sauté for about 1 min.

  4. IV. Mix in yogurt and stir constantly for about 5 min.

  5. V.Add about 1/2 cup of water and simmer covered for about 15 min or until chicken is cooked through.
